| The boat and trailer as pictured below are for sale as a package or the boat only. Asking price is $73,000 for both or $58,000 for boat only. |
| This 1980 Nor'sea #156 is located in Caledonia, Minnesota. She has less than 4 years in the water including a 17 month circumnavigation during 2005/6. She is the aft cabin model not the one with the oversized lazarets, no this is the one that looks like a sailboat not a floating cracker box. It give you the ability to see aft, fish from the stern, work on the windvane and not have your tiller grove the top. |
This 1980 Nor'sea 27 has had very little use sailing the Chesasapeake for 30 days each Summer and returning to the back yard under cover until the next year. I purchased "Catalyst" in March of 05 and she is now stored inside in Minnesota.
I also have an F350 Ford with the large 7.3 diesel engine with 109,000 miles that was used to pull the boat. The truck is also for sale. It has few options but looks good and is in good mechanical condition.

The major extra include Radar, Pur80 Watermaker, Avon dink like new no patch, 5 HP Nissan 4 stroke, 3 new Group 27 batteries, Yanmar diesel engine, 2 burner propane stove with outside propane storage in front of canbin top, 200 feet of 5/16 with manual windless, 4 anchors (25 CQR, 20 CQR, 16 Bruce & 12 Bruce, New running rigging, Prop lock, full canvas cover, upgraded winches w/2 Harken-st 2 speed 32's sheet winches and 2 Harken-st 16' s halyard winches, Hood roller furling, 9 sails all McGibbin made including a main, Storm Jib, # 2, #3, 150 genoa, 150 drifter/reacher, tri sail and spin. As shown in the picture it also has the piece of equipment that made my circumnavigation possible the Monitor Wind Vane. It only required that the control lines be changed 3 times in 31,000NM.
Additional equipment not found on many NS27's include mast raising and lowering equipment making it possible for two very average people to safely to the job in just a couple hours. The engine room has heavy sound protection and the engine mounts are liquid filled to minimize vibration. Engine is accessible from three sides. Another fantastic addition is vinyl ester barrier coat. The bottom of "Catalyst" has not been wet in many years. Two spinnaker/downwind poles mounted on the cabin roof, teak mounts of course. |
